Damien Hine

Damien Hine is an author, a graduate of Faber Academy, based in Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom. 

For as long as he can remember, he has had a passion for writing. At 7, he was gripped by the Toy Story films and ended up writing a collection of short stories about Buzz Lightyear. Later on, after having to wait too long between Harry Potter instalments, he decided to write one of his own (and made a few successful predictions!). 

As he grew up, however, the writing was packed away along with many other toys of childhood.

Until, one fateful Sunday afternoon, he had the seed of an idea.

That seed grew into the characters, concepts and wide, sprawling world we now know as The Lightspark Trilogy. Part JRR Tolkien and part Philip Pullman, he would say that everything that makes him who he is has found its way into those books.
