Sarah was raised in the Cotswold hills on a diet of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings; she never outgrew fantasy and still believes that elves live in the woods.

Sarah started writing in the 1990s, all her novels had elements of the fantasy worlds she longed to visit, some had dragons, some giants, some had dungeons... Sarah discovered other people loved fantasy too and her stories were successfully published in 2007. Since then she hasn’t looked back

Still longing to go on actual adventures herself, Sarah went off exploring in Africa for thirteen years! Nowadays, settled back in the UK she goes adventuring in her imagination, and disappears for hours at a time into story worlds and virtual realities: The Elder Scrolls and Skyrim.

Magic, myth and mountains are her favourite places to disappear to and her settings in Golem Dungeon are based on mines in the mountains of Snowdonia, deep dark scary mines where monsters and magic are alive and well.

Although Sarah lives in London now, in her mind she might be anywhere.
